I really liked Jude in book #1, and I really LOVED him in this. Sophie wasn't so bad herself, and together they made this a very special second chance romance. In fact, Sophie is one of the strongest heroines I've read in awhile. I really felt for Jude and all he went through, even what he brought on himself and seeing him finally catch some breaks was really emotional for me. The Shipleys also played a big role here, which was great. Loved this! 5 stars!

Jude Nickel & Sophie Haynes
We met Jude in the first book after he was released from his treatment program (after getting out of prison). I am so glad we got his story now.

I liked Sophie and was glad there wasn't a drawn out period of her having a hard time dealing with Jude being back in town.

Despite the difficult subject matter, Steadfast is a heartwarming and heart lifting story of a second chance at romance and a second chance to make new decisions in life and get things right. It is a story full of hope, heart and emotion with characters that are compelling. I fell in love with both Jude and Sophie and only wanted them to have the best future!
Sarina Bowen draws the world of True North as big as life and I can't wait to go back there for more stories.
