I'll preface my review by saying that I’ve been on a Kristen Ashley binge since the first of the year. Every single book I’ve read thus far has been sheer delight and brought many hours of unforgettable stories and characters.

That being said, “Knight” was disappointing and not up-to-par in regards to KA’s other books in my opinion. Yes, he was handsome and sexy and generous in many ways, but he fell short on my scale of best leading male characters. His story did indeed take us to another realm. I'll preface my review by saying that I’ve been on a Kristen Ashley binge since the first of the year. Every single book I’ve read thus far has been sheer delight and brought many hours of unforgettable stories and characters.

That being said, “Knight” was disappointing and not up-to-par in regards to KA’s other books in my opinion. Yes, he was handsome and sexy and generous in many ways, but he fell short on my scale of best leading male characters. His story did indeed take us to another realm. For some, I know this was a perfect and welcomed journey. For me, too often that “ick” factor raised its ugly head causing too many uncomfortable feelings. Knight wasn’t a character I could respect and I didn't like him very much at all. I do love the name "Knight Sebring" that KA bestowed upon this anti-hero.

I didn’t really connect with Anya either. She presented a strong and admirable impression at first. I felt she gave up her best personality traits to become a doormat for Knight. I rather enjoyed when she stood her ground and questioned his aggressiveness. But that, too, ended resulting in the loss of respect for her character as well. Her character presentation didn't balance in my mind.

My major complaints were with the “daddy” nickname that absolutely did not work for me. Pain does not in any way equal love or romance in my mind. Neither does one person giving all the orders while the other follows without question. Sex for the sake of filling pages doesn’t work well for me either. An overuse of the “F” and “C” words turns my stomach and loses any emphasis they may otherwise possess. Quality over quantity in most areas keeps me a perfectly happy and satisfied reader. I never felt a sense of overwhelming love and commitment between Knight and Anya. Somehow their relationship felt cold and harsh.

There were a number of editing errors in this book. Too many wrong word slips and minor spelling misses were plentiful irritants. Editing staff needs a heads up.

As with every author’s work, I admire the decisions to write the stories they need and want to tell. And I also understand fully that you can’t please all the people all the time. I’m eagerly awaiting Kristen Ashley’s “Motorcycle Man” and all other stories she sends our way. She’s a magnificent storyteller and still at the top of my favorite authors list.

I don’t even know how many times I’ve read or listened to this book and each time I get even more enjoyment from it. It is a great start to this darker series. Sweet at times and oh, so HOT!

“You can’t cushion me from the entire world, Knight.”
“I can try.”
My stomach dropped.
“I’ll take measures,” he went on like he didn’t just rock my world.”

Knight is my favorite book by my favorite author, so I give it ALL the stars!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Holy shit. I can't think of what to write. My feelings are all over the place. I knew alot about the book before starting. I was prety much prepared and not shocked about the big anti-hero thing. I was surprised at all the sweet things Knight did for Anya. The BDSM part was frankly hot as hell and not as freaky as I had feared.(it remeinded me a bit of Reaper's Property, and I wan't uncomfortable or anything.) This is the shortest book by Kristen Ashley I have encountered thus far. It is also the most sexually graphic.

Anya had a crappy upbringing and now she lacks confidence, and Knight started with a crappy childhood but ended up with a pretty great life, but the memories and things learned before the good life are the things that made him who he is now.

After meeting Anya the man is hooked and so is she.
