What Members Thought

Don't think there is one thing wrong with this book because of my 4 instead of 5 stars. I devoured this book. It was a quick read. That one star is my problem. I don't love romance books, it is a rare exception where a romance book gets all 5 stars on my list. However, if I find one like this I tear through it because it's well written and the characters are developed and not written in a way that would make a normal person cringe. I love all the details in Claire's books, they make the characte

I wasn't sure how I would feel about this book, given that it's main character is a soccer player. Full disclosure, I know almost next to nothing about soccer. But, I worried for absolutely nothing. Claire came through with a great love story. What would it be like to be the most famous athlete in your sport - notorious not only for you behavior on the pitch, but also off of it? And to have that reputation threaten the start of a relationship?

Claire Contreras is one of my biggest go to authors.
I know that I will never be disappointed in her books, her characters, the stories she bleeds out onto the paper.
She writes the most perfect male characters ever. They love so hard. They are completely swoonworthy. They are hot and wooo-weee spicy!
Her female characters are always on point. Not whiny. Independent.
Warren and Camila are perfect.
This story was a great romantic read that knocked my socks off!

This is probably going to be the most unhelpful review.
I'm just not completely sure what kept me from absolutely looking this story. But something was missing or was just off for me.
I like Camilla, and I eventually grew to like Warren, but they are the only people that I actually liked in this entire book.
Anyway, please don't let the few sentences that I've said sway you in anyway, especially since I can't adequately explain what was missing for me. ...more

Thoroughly enjoyed this sports romance. Hot sexy international soccer star meets hometown girl - nothing too heavy or angsty.
