I don't think I will ever understand what it is about these books that draw me in. Once I start one, I cannot put it down.

There are may facets of this one that I disliked, really, but it didn't stop my enjoyment.

1) Why is Qhuinn such a thug? Why does ANYONE love him?

2) Where does she think she's going with Lassiter?

See, the whole thuggishness of the Black Dagger Brotherhood is something that normally would put me off. But I think the books are so well done that I love them in SPITE of that.

Gah I feel so many things! I love the Brotherhood world and I am sad when I reach the end of every new book since I always want more. Beware rambling ahead.(view spoiler) Gah I feel so many things! I love the Brotherhood world and I am sad when I reach the end of every new book since I always want more. Beware rambling ahead.(view spoiler)[ I am a romantic, so I have always felt alot for Xcor & Layla. Tragic, and I sure didn't know how they could really be together. The way their story unfolded in the book was emotional and ultimately satisfying. It was wild that they kinda got help from V (and Wrath!!!)- that scene in the woods where Xcor was dying had me tearing up- then the surprise of V's actions. You know I was melting those couple of times he showed his heart with the romantic declarations to Layla in the Old Language. The love scenes were great imo!
As far as the other storylines... I hate what Ward is doing to V. Hate it! He has not been one of my very fave Brothers,(but always thought he was cool! That brain, and the visions and the mama drama!) but for some reason I feel like he is just is becoming ... I don't know...a wimpy punk! Freaking talk about your issue...SMH.
Now Trez and the look-alike to Selena. *sigh* Mixed feelings. But I want to know more about her and if she is really reincarnated, something like Darius/JM. It's just a bit too soon.
OMG Qhinn. Wow. I knew it would be intense when the truth came out, but whew!! What he said to Blay took my breath away. I literally gasped and my jaw was on the floor. And calling Layla a whore and such. Jesus! I am like all proud of Blay for taking a breather and telling Qhuinn what a wild hurtful jerk he was being. And Blay didn't just cave, he was strong. The dramatic scenes in the tomb/ whatever it is called, with Qhuinn and Xcor... Wow, again. Lol. That was pretty epic. I don't know how I feel about he and Tohr going off together that time. Now I gotta respect Ward's writing... love how things came about -from that night.
Throe and his aspirations. Ugh. I need more clarity lol because I want to know if that magic book will somehow bring back Lash and/or the Omega.
Lassiter!!! I. Love. Him. Can't wait for more of him.
Oh, the reveal to Xcor about Tohr being his brother was awesome. Loved that. But now even though I am so happy for the main characters, that sugary sweet ending had me rolling my eyes. I won't go all into it, but I'm like really?!? Qhuinn is so buddy-buddy with Xcor that fast. Didn't work exactly for me. (hide spoiler)] ...more

Layla’s treason has been exposed, we knew it was only a matter of time.

Qhuinn massively overreacts with his beau Blay, with the mother of his children, with everyone.

Blay finally stood up to him. It was great to read Blay get a backbone and not accept a fast apology.
