Re read - upgraded from 4-5 stars!

I loved this book the first time around!

I loved it even more the second time around.

Tanner and Rocky had been in love 18 years ago - until Rocky left with no warning and refused to talk to Tanner about it, or speak to Tanner ever again.

At the beginning of the story, Tanner who is now a divorced PI with 2 teen sons, had been shot while working a case, and Rocky could not keep away.

This story is told entirely in Tanner's POV, and here it worked!

Book No. 10 in my New Year's binge on KA books and it did not disappoint. "Golden Trail" is my favorite in the 'Burg series. It's another second chance at love theme with amazing characters, both lead and secondary.

There's always something wild going on in the 'Burg which makes for a highly entertaining read. What a roller-coaster ride this one handed us. So many subplots filled with excitement, crime, emotional trauma, and family issues. I was cheering, booing, crying, laughing, sighing, hot, ...more

Re-Read 2021

Hmmm...this was loooooooooooong. Of course, normally that is one of my favorite things about KA's books but this one, no. This read long.

I seemed to love this 9 years ago but not so much this time. No wait, that's harsh. I guess if I just experience it as a KA book then I get it, but for some reason, I had a hard time doing that.
