Excellent 4.5 star for this remarkable story by a new to me author. This one had all the feels and I really enjoyed it from beginning to end!

DRUM ROLL, PLEASE! So many of these NA/YA storylines (sports-related, forbidden professor/student scenarios) set on college campuses are so similar to near mirror images of one another that they seem to run right over the other in my mind. I'm not saying I'm not enjoying reading a ton of them but still yet . . . just sayin'. So, when I do find one that deviates from the cookie-cutter mold, it is indeed a rare and special gem. Drumline surprised me. I hadn't read anything by this author and didn't know what to expect. What I got was a really good story that drew me right in and great writing. I kept catching myself reading really slowly and savoring passages.

"The blush started at the top of her dress and crept up her neck, all the way to her cheeks. Something about her neck made me crazy. I wanted to nibble her there. Learn what kind of noise she would make if I kissed the tender spot on the edge of her jawline."
