I totally forgot what it was like to read a KA book and just get lost.
My weekends anymore seem to have less and less reading time which is a-ok because they are full of life and living and I'm into it.
But I forgot what it was like to not be able to live life while you are reading a KA book because that is the only life you want to live.
Man, it was fantastic to be back. To get lost.
This was awesome. It was all the things I love about a Kristen Ashley book and then some. I hated for it to end and ...more

I honestly still feel the same way. I still had a love/hate relationship with Hix. He was a stupid ass in his original dealings with Greta, but he was a good sheriff and dad. He did eventually redeem himself and we all know that KA has the magic touch when redeeming her heroes (and other characters as well, I'm talking about you Hal). Complicated is a classic Kristen book. Released exclusively in audiobook for the first six months, it was right up my alley as a KA addict and an audiobook addict! Awesome narration and a great story made me want to start my reread the moment I reached the end!!

I swear Kristen Ashley can do no wrong when it comes to her books, I had been waiting for this one to come out in book format, especially after hearing rave audiobook reviews. Now I love all of her series, but was super excited for something stand alone and away from her other awesome character.

Honestly, I had a few problems with this book. I fell in love with KA from the first book I ever read by her (Motorcycle Man) and she's been an auto buy for me since, so it pains me to say this but there was just too much repetition and too much long and drawn out drama that didn't need to happen in this one.
And I usually LOVE long books.
But complaints aside, Complicated tells a sweet story and Hix's kids, especially Mamie and Shaw were amazing. I hope Shaw one day gets his own story.

I was excited to read this story, and it didn’t disappoint! Definitely the KA style I have enjoyed in many of her books. I loved this couple, their angst caused by him being a total dumbass (twice), his apology, their making up, their chemistry, her brother (adored that sweet boy!), his kids, many of the side characters, etc. I didn’t get bored though this book is definitely LONG. Just a fun escape. Hope others enjoy it, too!
