What Members Thought

Jennifer☠Pher☠
I really had no idea. I think this is one of the first Holiday books that came across my feed and the author and the cover just drew me in.

Without even knowing anything I seemed to have saved the best for last. Well, not last, but we are surely running out of time, yes?

I had no idea what I was getting into with this one.

This book was pure magic.

No really, it was.

I never in a million years would have thought that I'd be adding a Holiday read to my favorites of the year but there is no other pla

“Corbin was a strawberry. If you had any sense at all, you took it as it was and you never questioned it. You didn’t add sugar and you didn’t add heat. You didn’t put it in a sandwich or use it in a cake. You didn’t do anything to it because it was already as absolutely, perfectly a strawberry as it would ever be. You recognized it, and were grateful for it. And, if you were lucky, you savored it. That was what Alex was doing. Alex was savoring.”

I savoured this book. It was delicious.

I wish I would have reviewed this straightaway.
It's not that I have forgotten it. No, it's quite the opposite.
Random things remind me of them. And I smile.
It was magical.
It stood out from the holiday crowd.
I will re-read it before the holidays this year. And I will look for hidden details that I might have missed. And give it the proper review it deserves.
Till then...Parrish is on my radar!
This might have been my first book of hers, but it certainly will not be last!

Audio Re-Read

My original review really says it all and I am going to leave it mostly at that.

Mostly.

I still loved everything about the story but for some reason I didn't enjoy it being read to me. I don't know if it was just a difficult time of year for me to focus on an audiobook or what but I know I enjoyed it so much better as words on the page. I don't think it was the narrator either.

It was probably just me this go round.

I listened to the audiobook, and, the spice aside, the narrator’s voice alone did something to me.

OMG Corbin broke my heart at times. I just wanted to wrap him up & tell him he was loved. I really enjoyed this one.
