I never seem to write a review that I feel is worthy of an incredible book. And without a doubt, Behind the Bars is an incredible book.
I went through a million different emotions while reading. I cried, boy did I cry.
Even though you could say this book is about Jasmine and Elliott - its so much more than them. Because this book would not be half as special if it were not for their "tribe" Its not even fair to call them sub-characters. They are all main characters. They all have stories to tell

The synopsis was a bit misleading or at least it was for me.

…and she was the high school queen. ~ This may have been from Elliot's pov only, but I never felt that this was an adequate description of her status in high school or at least not one she cultivated.

And in a flash, she was gone. ~ I thought this meant the way she left, since the wording sounds far more dramatic than her actual departure.
