When I read Bonfires last year, it was one of my favorite books for 2017, and since it ended in a HEA, I was a little shocked to find out there was going to be a book 2, Crocus. I shouldn’t have worried at all, because I loved book 2 just as much as Bonfires.

Welp. This is hard. I actually couldn't quite decide what exactly I thought at first. And...I'm still not on solid ground. #confuzled
I loved Bonfires.
I loved the...new beginnings aspect of Crocus.
Ultimately, While I'm glad I read it...I can't say I enjoyed it as I read.
It felt looooong.
Like double the length.
It felt fulllllllll.
Like everything AND the kitchen sink full.
It felt...forced.
Like it was trying too hard.
I was happy to visit Larx and Aaron again and I'm thrilled they are surviving ...more
