A much-anticipated new release from Mia Sheridan, who happens to be an auto-buy author for me. The blurb led me to believe it had all the makings for another 5-star read. There have been so many exceptional stories from Sheridan, but this time around I found myself facing disappointment. Another emotional story by Mia Sheridan but I shouldn't be surprised because she never disappoints! Her main characters are often flawed or disabled in one way or another, largely due to actions of others, or they are misunderstood. But deep down they are good and it takes the right person to see it and bring it out.

Jessica and Callen's story was beautiful, despite the pain and misunderstanding in both their past and present lives. As hard as it was to see Callen be so self-destructive
