Re-Read so I finally finish the series this time 2022

Whatever, I'm giving this 4.5★'s and rounding up!

So, I knew I was totally into the book but I was not totally into Cooper and was unsure how his character was going to impact my rating and total enjoyment. Not much I guess. He was tough to like and even tougher to get to know or even slightly figure out. Actually, he was pretty much a dick for more than half the book. But, there were glimpses. So, I knew I was totally into the book but I was not totally into Cooper and was unsure how his character was going to impact my rating and total enjoyment. Not much I guess. He was tough to like and even tougher to get to know or even slightly figure out. Actually, he was pretty much a dick for more than half the book. But, there were glimpses. Tiny little things that made you want to love this guy and just made you angrier when he was a complete asshole because he really had so much potential. It was an odd feeling. Mostly just frustrating because you didn't want him to act that way. And then he kind of stopped. And then, well, then probably the last 30-40% I loved him. Totally.

Park on the other hand I loved immediately and consistently. I want his POV so bad!! I can't wait to learn more about him and about his family. I feel like this has to be a huge part of the story. There is just so much we don't know and yeah, I am dying to know more about him. He was just so calm and strong and funny and so very ALPHA! Hoooooooooowwwwwwwllllll! I loved him!

This book was pretty fantastic. They mystery was amazing to read. Really. It totally kept me on my toes and guessing. I'd figure something out only to be presented with another puzzle. Brilliant really and I couldn't put it down.

The werewolf thing was waaaaayyy different than what I am used to and I am not totally sold on exactly how it works. I need a little bit more world building honestly but I am fascinated by it. The BSI, well, I have a ton of thoughts about this group and none of them are all that good. I find it highly improbably that these agents are sent in with zero knowledge. Really, zero. Anyway, I am anxious to learn more about this world so to speak and see how it plays out. If anything it was refreshing to have another take on werewolves and humans.

So yeah, I loved this. Didn't realize the 2nd book was out. Wanted to request it from NetGalley but the Publisher always insists on denying my requests so yeah, I'll just sit over here and wait patiently for September. Or, not patiently.

**Audio Re-Read**

I totally loved this book on my original read.

This time, not as much and that is not the fault of the audio. This time, I really struggled with Cooper and didn't get out of it as quickly or as easily as I did the first go round. This time, I just didn't like him. The super sweet end just didn't make sense to me this time. I need to know what Park is thinking truthfully. I need to know just what he sees in Cooper.

He llegado a la página 200 y soy incapaz de seguir, es más, quito el resto de la lista de próximas lecturas y a otra cosa. No soporto el modo lento y cansino en que está narrado y me parece inconcebible que tenga que creer que estos dos son profesionales y capaces de pillar ni a una mosca, menos a un asesino.

I loved it! I am very impressed that this is Ms. Adhara’s debut novel, it was very well written. I did have one of the bad guys figured out but not all of them. Just when I was sure it was one person, along came something that would throw me onto another. The mystery was engaging and kept me turning the pages as I needed to know more.
