I was pleasantly surprised that I liked this book so much Matthew Callahan has spent seven years struggling against the insatiable hunger for blood consuming him. Unable to stop the vampire inside from preying on humans, he keeps himself confined to a lonely existence. Matthew is captured by an incubus Tarrick and a team of vampire hunters unbeknownst to Matthew, incubus and vampires are at war, and he just got caught up in it. I read the book and I can say honestly even though it was not a book I would have read a few years ago I was able to finish it. I didn't like the pain and suffering of Matthew. Then again I didn't like Matthew. It was hard to get into a book that I dislike the person I was suppose to be rooting for. Maybe I am different but I can't see myself reading the next book in the series. I tried to like it. The best thing I can say about it was as it was Kindle Unlimited I didn't have to buy it. ...more
