I'm bummed because I was really excited about this book, but sadly, it just didn't work for me, and it's not for the reasons most would probably think if they know what this story is all about. I know some people can't stand to read books with certain themes (please don't read these spoilers if you really don't want to know major spoilers) (view spoiler), but I can still enjoy a book with either/both at the core of the story, however, for me, after ...more

An emotional, heartbreaking and uplifting story from Kennedy Ryan. Her latest release is filled with all the feelings from one end of the spectrum to the other. Ryan dives right into the hard stuff, the life altering changes that happen in lives everyday, and also the very best that life has to offer as well.

Right from the start of this book I was drawn into the story and connected immediately with these characters. They are so real and compelling.

Jared Foster is somewhat of a selfish and ambitious jerk. He is focused on what is best for his own future.

Kennedy Ryan knows how to rock my world! Her characters are always so perfectly written and there is always so much more than a love story going on in her books.
Jared - I love Jared! I dont think he is half the asshole he proclaims to be!
But Banner - HOT DAMN GIRL CRUSH! I absolutely adore Banner. Banner is brilliance and heart!
This story was so much more than a second chance, so much more than an enemies to lovers!
