Welp, I know I am, once again, in the minority here. I honestly struggled with this one. After waiting anxiously to read Royce’s story, I was really disappointed. I did, however, really like Marc and the way he was with Royce. They were very different, but meshed very well.

The secondary storyline involving Royce and his family was a little unbelievable to me, and I wish they authors would have stuck with just one storyline because it just didn’t flow for me.

I don’t want to be repetitive but it bears repeating that I loved the Unbreakable Bonds Series. Like L-O-V-E-D it.

Loving the original does not guarantee the same for the spinoff. It may not be love but it is keeping me on my toes there is no doubt about it. So, I was not a fan of Psycho Romeo (Ward Security, #1) but gave Dantès Unglued (Ward Security, #2) 5★'s. See what I mean?

And now we have arrived at book three. This is a confusing book to review. The book didn’t get on my nerves in a distrac I don’t want to be repetitive but it bears repeating that I loved the Unbreakable Bonds Series. Like L-O-V-E-D it.

And now we have arrived at book three. This is a confusing book to review. The book didn’t get on my nerves in a distracting way and I really kind of liked it…But…I don’t think it knew what kind of book it was trying to be.

Let’s talk about this. So, this series has a formula. Bodyguard falling in love with his client. There is a setup of danger and of course a needed closeness that just can’t be ignored and then of course the big I just can't be with you drama. So, somewhere along the line I feel like this book almost forgot someone was trying to kill Marc. It almost felt like a Contemporary Romance (is that the right kind of book?) and not a Romantic Suspense which is what I expect them to be. I am not complaining mind you, hence the confusion, I am just stating that it kind of was in the back of my mind there should be some danger and not just a love story, yeah? And then, when we got some danger it was a whole new side story and not the danger I expected. Oh, and then because of the new danger we got a kind of heist/caper like side story, but still no danger to Marc which is why they were together to begin with.

I don’t want to say anything else really. There were a few more examples but I'll just quit here. I’d hate to give the book away. Let me just summarize real quick. There was a lot going on in this. I was entertained and I enjoyed it. I loved, loved, loved the surprise appearance by Colonel Mustard and Mrs. Peacock. Seriously, one of the best parts of the book. Overall I think this was a better installment to the series than book one but not as good/great as book two.

So, maybe 3.5★'s rounded up? I don't know. Yeah, I think that sounds about right. Regardless of my confusion and the feeling of being all over the place I think I really liked it...mostly. HAHA! Obviously I am still so confused!
