This book. Oh my heart in so many ways. I still loved it. 5+Stars. Happy reading!

5+ "We save each other." Stars!
I still absolutely love this book! There is undoubtedly a lot of brutality, but Brenna and Vali have a love that makes it all worth it for me. They are one of my all-time favorite couples. Brenna is definitely one of my favorite heroines, and Vali makes the favorite males list too.

God's Eye blew my mind. I admit to holding back on reading this because I know Ms. Fanetti doesn't pull any punches and is not afraid to gut me but curiosity got the better of me, and I'm so glad I caved. This was one epic journey of love, brutality, discovery, acceptance, fighting back - ugh I could go on and on.

***MY FIRST FIVE STAR READ OF 2016!***
Even those who’d known her from her birth thought there something fantastical about her, something they could not understand. Some thought her a boon, others a bane, but none thought her simply a girl.
I didn’t plan to read God’s Eye. It wasn’t a book on my radar and honestly I’ve stayed away from Susan Fanetti books since her Signal Bend series pretty much gutted me. As talented a writer as she is, I've been scared. Still, I was curious after reading the ...more

There hasn't been a single book that Susan Fanetti has written that I haven't absolutely loved. God's Eye continues the streak. This book is simply epic.
The writing and the manner of speech felt very authentic and true to the Norse way of life. Sometimes historical writers make it seem more like a history book than a romance novel but Fanetti engrossed me from the beginning and didn't overwhelm with facts.

Re-Read in Jan 2019 and still loved it just as much on the 2nd read. An all-time favorite book and series!
This book is not a normal read for me, but it was amazing. I loved it so much. Vali and Brenna was an absolutely epic love story. They are Viking warriors, so there is violence and heartbreak, but if you don't mind that, then I highly highly recommend this book. I cannot wait for more in this series. ...more

I always have to "gird my loins" whenever I read one of Susan's books. Her stories are not for the light of hearts. God's Eye was a beautiful love story. I've always been fascinated by the life and lore of the Vikings. Breanna and Vali met as children and never forgot the deep connection they made on that day. It's not an easy life because they do not live in an easy world. I cannot wait to see what Susan writes next in this saga.
