Not often am I a big fan of this much age difference between the couple -- especially when the relationship begins when one is barely legal age-wise. But somehow Penelope Ward hooked me with this mixed bag of summer lovin'! Lots of push and pull, angst, and a slow burn, too. I loved the wit, quirky dialogue and the musical standoff between Heather and Noah. And the secrets and realities of their story were heartbreaking at times. My feelings were all over the place with this book, and it had nothing to do with the age difference. My husband is 12 years older than me, and we were around the same age as these characters when we got together and it has now been 20 years and 3 kids together later.
