Sinners is a complex story. It is a matter of revenge and survival. The romance is an afterthought and it fits comfortably in the storyline considering the purpose of Tar, Loch, and Travis. The author gives space to imagine the level of chaos and cruelty put on these characters, and I’m glad of it. I could do without the details. The story almost has a sci-fi feel to it with an idea based on reality. Interesting and unusual.
