I'd give this one a few more ★'s if I could. I think this book was totally awesome and can only imagine this series getting better. I freaking loved it! It had everything that I love in a book and a series and can't wait for more.

Have to say I loved these guys. All they went through tore me up - Dex being beaten numerous times and Sloane's broken heart. I did have to say that I did figure out who the "bad" guy was but not what he originally did. I can't wait to start the next one. Loved Dex's sense of humor & one liners. Loved the puppet, that cracked me up to no end & brought tears to my eyes from laughing so hard.

This was a very long read for me. I had a very hard time keeping interested, even sat it down and read two other books before finishing. It took forever to get there but the very end of the book was the best part. It does end with a very gentle cliffhanger. Although there is also a happy ending despite the events that brought them together.
loved this book. The style of writing was 'different' than what I'm used to ... and that's a good thing.

Great series start. I was afraid that there would be too much info thrown at me in book one to catch on while listening on audiobook, but background and set up was mixed in well with a really interesting storyline. I was pulled right into the story and immediately fell in love with snarky irreverent Dex!
