This is probably my least favorite of all Vi Keeland's books. It wasn't particularly bad -- it just wasn't up to snuff with all her other fabulously entertaining ones. This lacked that sparkle that so many of the others share. And I really didn't blame the characters -- but then again, neither really sent me head over heels either. There were moments that drew some sighs. I never really figured out the whole parental sidetracking issue or a solid conclusion that caused the panic in Chicago. Most ...more

Regardless of age differences, there's no way anyone wouldn't fall in love with Ford.

I understood Valentina's reservations though. Not only with the age difference, but getting back in the dating game period. She just got out of the only relationship she's had and that ended badly, then she is connecting to this guy who is not only younger, but she's a known him when he was younger. A fun, romantic book about an older woman and a younger man wanting to have a relationship and all the obstacles they had to overcome along the way.
Loved this story, it wasn't overly dramatic which was great, no boring or slow parts, kept my interest all the way through.
The heroine's best friend was my favorite character in this book, she was lots of laughs.
A wonderful ending for all those HEA lovers out there like myself :D

I usually evading to read romance between older woman and young man. Especially if the age gap is more than decade. (And generally older man with waaaaay too young woman - with age gap more than 20 years for this trope). But when i read this story last night, i found that i more than enjoy the story.
