This was an emotional heartbreaking read, and I read it in one sitting. I had no clue what this was about before I picked it up and I should have. We get the closure here that we didn’t get in Ruckus. (Knight’s mom and dads book) I didn’t like that one much. This second generation series is fantastic, and these first two books I’ve loved more than their parents books. I am so pleasantly surprised. 5 stars.

As always L.J. Shen writes with so much emotion and knows what her readers want. I was a mess reading this book, I seriously had a love hate with the male lead, but it was all good because I knew what to expect of Knight and a child of a hot hole. The men in her stories are always damaged, full of angst, mad a the world of someone. But they are also vulnerable, mostly to the one women who just gets them. It can be read as a stand alone, but I would recommend reading at least the first book in th ...more

LJ Shen does it again. This was amazing. I was on vacation and ignored my group of friends to read this book as fast as possible. The only regret you’ll have is that you have to wait to read her next book Angry God until February.

These characters will melt your heart. The slow burn angst is something that LJ Shen has nailed perfectly. Her characters are real and her writing is on point.

I knew going into this book two things:
1) I would love Knight as much as I love Dean.
2) Rosie would GUT ME.
And gut me she did. They all did. I loved getting a POV from both her and Dean. I loved Luna and Knight. I cried my eyes out with this book.
