I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed this book, not as much as book 1, but still a strong 4 star read for me. I loved the growth in Niall, in both is relationship with Mat, and a personal journey he was on. The way he learned to open his heart and trust, not only with Mat, but others too.
So why not a 5 stars? I struggled with the mystery part of the story, and the big reveal I did not see coming at all. I don’t want to give too much away, but it just fell off to me.

I loved book 2 just as much as 1. Book 2 picks up shortly after 1 ends. Niall has put his condo on the market and is heading back to the Island, and if feels right in his soul. His major issue is that he needs to find a place to live as the insurance company is dragging their feet about settling for his cabin that burned down in the last book. He also is presented with a new employment opportunity.
