Wow! I've marched straight out of my comfort book genre. Of course, I've read Enemies to Lovers romance books. The kind of books with mm romance that are usually dark, angsty, painful. The Hunter by L.J. Shen is an Enemies-to-Lovers Romance, balanced with Romcom elements, but the main character, Hunter, God. He is priceless. The entire time I was reading, I was laughing out loud with joy.

I adore this author and have enjoyed all the past books. I was surprised on the direction of this character in the sense I found him utterly disgusting. I couldn't finish this book and it broke my heart because I love this author but this was just a no for me. Im not giving up on her though because she's a fabulous writer, but It was just to ick factor with this guy. I love romance, guys that are pricks, and alpha males. Hunter + Sailor... everything I didn’t know I needed in a story! Not going to lie... I was not a huge Hunter fan until about halfway through, when he finally started seeing Sailor for what she was: an amazing badass chick who knows what she wants and is willing to do what she needs to get it. I loved how this book ties together the world of All Saints High with that of Sparrow! Well done Leigh!!
