Ok. First off, this book made me feel my age. I don't know what exactly it was about it but Evie and Danny just read so young to me.

I know, they are young.

I don't think I normally feel that way when reading KA. I know the ages of the characters but I guess it never hit me like it did in this story.

Or, and this is probably the truth, I'm out growing a lot of books these days. I can't keep up with everything that is "on trend"(even that isn't in my vocabulary) and feel I'm Googling things, music, Ok. First off, this book made me feel my age. I don't know what exactly it was about it but Evie and Danny just read so young to me.

All that aside though, I mostly enjoyed the story. I didn't really get the feeling Evie was a genius though. I mean, I was told she was but she just didn't seem like one. I liked that she wasn't flashy and more geeky but honest to God, in the beginning she put on some sort of flat shoe (which I had to Google) and they were $145 flats! What? I mean come on. Genius couldn't attend school because she was working two jobs to help her deadbeat family...maybe don't buy $145 flats!

I didn't see her as a stripper either. I'm glad we didn't actually get a play by play of her stripping in this story because I just could not see it. With her genius and her talent with electronics I just don't know why she stripped to begin with. She didn't like it. Didn't seem like she would even be able to do it and I just feel like she could have used her genius to make money some other way. Did she even dance?

Anywhoo...Danny. I loved that he was a super sweet and super romantic and just over all a very kind Alpha. I love KA's Alphas and it was interesting to see one who just, I don't know, was present and involved even if it wasn't Alpha stuff. He wasn't gruff. Not that I don't love those guys too, Danny just seemed to be really put together even if he had issues.

It has been too long and there are too many Rock Chick's for me to keep all that straight. but it was cool to see them and the Hot Bunch, and definitely Chaos.

Now, let's talk about the next book. I love KA but did not read her Honey series because I just am not a fan of BDSM and well, the next book in this series screams BDSM to me and I just don't know. I've got to read some reviews to see how heavy it is, how much a part of the story it is before I go there.

Overall I guess I liked it. It was like reading about the Rock Chick kids even though they aren't that young, it just felt like that. I guess that is Next Gen for you... ...more

I loved this start to a new series. It definitely has the feel of the rock chick series. So glad I gave it a chance!
