For some reason, I enjoyed this book more than the previous book. The reason I say that is because traditionally, I love vampires over werewolves. They just don't typically do anything for me. But this one worked for me.

Callum was a typical werewolf alpha male. He had lots of really great moments with some irritating moments. I'll admit that there was one point in the book where I wanted Sonia to end up with Callum's cousin Ryon. But Callum won me over with his hottness and the way he treated 4.5

But Callum won me over with his hottness and the way he treated Sonia and I couldn't help but forgive him.

I really liked Sonia. She was independent and strong and everything you could want in a queen wolf. But similar to the first book, this one had annoying habits of not informing the heroine of information that was important for her to know. Primarily what to expect and the way she's expected to act as Queen. Oh, and did I mention that she was raised in the human world, so she didn't know anything about Callum's customs? Nothing. Nada. Zilch. And it really ticked me off that, knowing she had no knowledge of his world, he didn't take the time to explain ANYTHING to her. It wasn't until things blew up into a huge fight that he caught a clue.

My biggest issue with the book actually dealt with something that's a spoiler so to be safe, I'm putting it under spoiler tags. I hate spoiling things and I'll try not to give anything away, but with the nature of the issue and my venting, I make no promises. So proceed with caution. (view spoiler)

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. In some ways, I enjoyed it more than the first one. I can't wait to read the third and final book of the series! ...more

I loved Sonia. She was feisty, but compassionate and how now joined the ranks of the other KA heroines that I have fallen in love with.

It took me a while to warm up to Callum. It was a good thing that his point of view was given, because I may have just disliked him and wished that Sonia had ended up with Ryon.

One thing is for sure, their journey to an hea or hfn was not an easy rode, but the chemistry between these two were off the charts. This of course is no surprise since this is KA's writ ...more

This took me forever to finish! It's weird. I didn't feel the need/want to listen to this but once I was listening I didn't want to stop listening. It was like a love/hate relationship but not really because I didn't dislike it, I just didn't have that overwhelming feeling of want. It was weird. It was also Christmas and all that bunch of Merry and Bright.

Anyway, I finished it and I liked it. What bugged me is just part of this Trilogy so I'll just suck it up. It's KA guys and I love her no matt ...more

4 and a half stars... hell I just rounded it up LOL. I loved it, but something nagged at me the whole time. I can't explain what it was... maybe just how Sonia was not more curious about what exactly Callum is.
The romance was wonderful though! Sweet at times and definitely hot. :) Thank goodness I can dive into book 3 immediately. ...more

4.5 same issue as the last book. I like a stronger heroine not one that is going to immediately believe the bad guys. Over all I love the story & watching them get to where they got to. What happened at the wedding broke my heart, I think it actually stopped for a min. His sorrow brought tears to my eyes. I can't wait for the final book.
