The Bribe is the first book in the Calamity Montana series and author Willa Nash aka the wonderful author Devney Perry. I devour anything written by Devney Perry and her stories always have beautifully written characters, small towns, steamy romance and suspense. This story had all those fantastic tidbits and introduced a new small town.

I liked Duke and Jade/Lucy and I kept wondering wondering when Duke would slip in public and give her name away.

The bribe is given in the heat of the moment to save her identity and of course Duke being honorable actually has no intention of taking it, but he agrees to get the info he needs.

It is a bone of contention until they actually discuss why he agreed to it. Once that's done they are already on their way to falling in love with one another.
