It was ok, a bit repetitive with the atonement, the lies and the secrets but it is passable, and for that reason it felt a bit long, with the end I felt it very rushed, as if wanting to look for a bad guy I imagined that something was going to happen when he got mad when she had to choose, i stayed like this o.O with certain things, when she was saying about the secret, i was already thinking tell me what the secret is, and i think, for me it is not totally dark maybe light, there are certain th ...more

Shelves: romance, angst, jerks, arc, tormented, tragedy

You really can't go by the blurbs or short teasers because this book was so , so totally unexpected and oh so good. Julianna, she is broken to little pieces, the deepest of despair. She blames herself, " I should pay for my sin. I should suffer."
And then there is Killian, hateful qnd angry, "Killian was deadlier than a viper, as he waited for the right moment to strike".
Its an arranged marriage, even though Killian was supposed to marry Gracelynn, Julianna is in her place. They both think this ...more
