2.5 RATING ~ Rounding up to three stars is me being kind. I haven’t read a new Kristen Ashley book in years and this book assured me I haven’t been missing anything. Side note: I really really hope not to come across another heroine that says “golly” again. All it does is make me wish I could hit a bitch in the face

I enjoyed this book overall, but there is one part that stopped me in my tracks. I'll get to that in a minute.

Clara has been through hell, and is paying the price for loving the wrong man. She didn't know he was the wrong man until all his sins came to light, and now her life is f*cked due to his dirty deeds. So, now she is in survival mode, doing whatever she needs to do to make ends meet.

This leads her to the Aces High MC and West "Buck" Hardy, the president of the club.

I really liked getting back to MC books for Kristen, however the lead in this one will piss a girl off! Lol. I’ll explain more in my spoiler section. One click worthy for sure. And I love the addition of the book club questions at the end. A solid 4 star read for me.

I'm just aiming for the middle with this one.

I liked probably just as much as I disliked so...

It did feel a lot like a draft of Motorcycle Man, or at least pieces of that draft.
