Well, I knew if many of my friends were slapping 5 stars on this book, I had to read it. They were right, it’s a 5 star read.

This isn’t my typical type of read, but I fell in love with the world building and all the characters. I especially adored Oliver. It definitely had a Game of Thrones vibe to with the setting in a far off land with scary rulers.

I can’t wait to start book 2, although I am a wee bit nervous with the author saying there is going to be at least 5 books in the series with book

This was the best kind of treat, when that email hit my inbox that Gilley had dropped a surprise (to me) book I about sprained my one click finger to grab this.

It's a slow burn romance about more than just the one couple in a whole new world and I loved it! Nobody writes slow burn quite like this author does, she's one of the few authors whose books I never want to end.

I think this series is going to end up being one of my favourites. The world building and rich characters are a delicious treat

Rating: 3.5 stars

A heartwarming, humorous story of unexpected acceptance of friendship among the barbaric Northman. A family saga. Tessa finds herself in a difficult position of choosing duty over desire. The dynamic between Ollie and Erik is off the chart.

Ollie may be a bastard, but he can verbally hold his own against any worthy opponents. That also includes the King. Love the interactions.
