It's been a long time (years) since I picked up a book by Kristen Ashley -- but this one sounded like maybe it would work - a bit different than her usual, and there didn't appear to be any bikers in sight. So, I thought why not give it a go.
The story sounded like it might be something fun, the characters and family-related elements and a friendship betrayal interested me. I love a story set in the mountains, too. And I'll be quite honest, Duncan and Imogen's "older romance" -- even second go-r ...more

Well…This is like a drama filled re-release/re-read. For some reason I was completely obsessed with getting to read the new content and couldn’t wait for release. It didn’t come out for free on the 9th like it was supposed to. There were issues. I wasn’t able to grab this for free until the 12th and believe me, I checked OFTEN. To the point of obsession. It was so freaking frustrating honestly. Once I finally got it and started my re-read I kept waiting for something new to happen. I felt like n

I have no idea why or how I read this as fast as I did. That's not true, I know how and why. As always with KA, I never want the stories to end but I do nothing to prolong the greatness. I read as fast as I can.

Of course, it wasn't realistic but who wants that anyway? HAHA!

Reread (this time audio after update of book), same rating, but it was indeed a great experience listening to this cast of audio actors.
The update included the parts from Corey's pov, and it only served to make me dislike him more than I did before I knew his thought process. Especially after reading the birthday part from when they were kids. That took him down all the way in assessment at that point, and I didn't think he could get any lower.
