I know I’m in the minority on my opinion – but here goes anyway. For me, Ward’s latest book can be labeled as a disappointing and underwhelming read. I thought the story felt contrived and forced. Even though the author worked hard at the comical relief, that seemed a bit sophomoric at the expense of the story, too.

The Assignment is a cute, fun and entertaining read with a few surprising twists thrown in to keep things interesting :)

This is another fantastic stand alone by Penelope Ward.
This is a second chance, hate to love story.
In highschool, Aspyn absolutely hated Troy. I did like how she got back at him with the donuts. That had me laughing.
But when they run into each other over a decade later, have things changed?
Troy was a jerk back then, he openly admits it. But has he truly changed? Can he change?
Both characters had some learning and growing to do.
I was worried while Troy was figuring things out.
And Kiki was awes ...more
