Every once in a while I am thrilled to discover a new series and a new author. In this case it is Lily Mayne's Monstrous series.

This book is about Wyn the Soul Eater and Danny, a soldier in a post-apocalypse world. Enemies to lovers is one of my fave tropes when done right.

I don't tend to read a lot of post-apocalypse world types of books; they've never interested me. But I know enough to know that this series is unique and uniquely written. Ms. Mayne has a distinctive voice. While there is viol ...more

4.5 Stars! Boy did I love this! Not at all what I was expecting (I wasn’t expecting to fall for a Soul Eating monster, but I did-hard!). Totally worth the read.

Love this swoony monster

I loved this story and couldn’t put it down from the first page. I’m new to this genre but I think I’m a complete convert after this exciting and oh so swoony book.

Soul Eater, the first in Lily Mayne's Monstrous series, is set in North America twenty years after monstrous species appeared all over the world.
