I was so excited to read this book. I have been in a mood lately and all I want to be reading is books that shatter my heart in two and then makes it all better. I was hoping that this book would be the one to give me everything i’m looking for.

I reached out for this book because I wanted it to break my heart and then fix it, and this book did that and so much more. I got so emotional while reading this book and I cried so many times and then all of the comfort in the book fixed me up. ...more

I can’t believe this is my first Marley Valentine book! I didn’t love it as much as I wanted to. There was angst pouring off the pages with talk about drug abuse/recovery, child abuse and neglect, but I just didn’t feel any of it. The main characters were likeable enough, with a love/hate relationship but I didn’t connect to them. With that being said, I know it’s definitely on me. With everything going on in the world right now, it was just hard for me to pull any more emotion out.
