This is yet another fantastic stand alone from Vi Keeland. I always love these stand alones.
The first meeting between Evie and Merrick was hilarious. But the second meeting was awkward.
He's now her boss!
These two are connected by their grandma's. Especially since Evie is also friends with Kitty, Merrick's grandma.
There is a lot of baggage for these two to unpack.
Some of it's heartbreaking. Especially when we get the full story about Merrick's past.

Merrick Crawford & Everly "Evie" Vaughn
Another great one by Vi Keeland. I loved Evie from start to finish. Any woman who has the nerves (of steel) to do what she did when she found out about her ex, is my kind of woman.
At the beginning of the story, she's trying to get back on her feet, and to do that she's looking for a new job. Things aren't exactly going the way she planned.
