Now an Adjunct Professor Of Criminal Psychology at a prestigious college, Lucas realizes he'll have to work hard to regain his reputation and prove that he's not the bat sh*t crazy clairvoyant he's been made out to be. Yes, he can get a reading off objects linked to killers and such but apparently that only is believed until he identifies a fellow FBI field agent as a serial killer.

The worst possible situation arises when Lucas and August accidentally touch which triggers Lucas's gift. August now has to decide what to do about the situation. Kill him or f*ck him.

Warning: This is a contemporary dark suspense thriller m/m romance that includes scenes of violence, sexual dominance, blood letting and killing. This work of fiction will have you equally cringing and hysterically laughing. Consider yourself warned.

I just love it when someone suggests I read a book by a new to me author that is so special that I am still going through post book withdrawal. It was that good. In a total realm that encompasses a family of psychopaths who lack the ability to emotionally connect to others, well, it's more than fun to see how things play out. Applause applause to the author

August & Lucas. OMG. I am in lust with these two. August. A genius level psychopath who meets someone he immediately decides he wants to keep. He doesn't possess the ability to love, but nonetheless, he connects with Lucas on a carnal level and that's enough for him. Lucas. A broken man who is trying to rebuild his life following a mental health crisis. Added is he was an FBI profiler who can identify the official diagnoses that describes the secrets August is hiding. It's a case of FBI operative vs antihero psychopath that I the reader benefit reading about.

Secondary characters. All of August's family are featured in secondary roles. I can definitely get on board with each member of the family getting their own story - Dad included. Other characters are featured that add depth and world building though I'm not going to identify the hits and misses as it might give away spoiler info. The only character I will do a shout out about is Cricket. I love her as I feel she's my doppelganger.

For those who are on a need to know basis regarding the adult content. This is a high heat romance between two guys who are open with their gayness. That cuts the awkwardness of coming out of the closet angst and such so the reader can cut to the chase and appreciate the adult content scenes to entirety. Expect high octane five alarm yumminess that is toe curling to the max. There is a degree of dominance/submission but don't take that to mean stereotypical BDSM. A couple of scenes between the two involve edge play if that's something that might be good to know about.

I'm really not sure if I loved this more for the story line, the erotica action, or the laugh out moments that occur in the middle of a killing scene. Maybe it's all of the above? I just loved it.

At the end of this story is a teaser sample from the next upcoming installment in the series Moonstruck. I am so going to stalk the author until this one is released. ...more

The Psycho and The Psychic!

5 Stars! Wow. I continue to be impressed. A psycho and a psychic…brilliant! It was even better than Unhinged (Psycho book 1). I’m really looking forward to Atticus and Jericho’s book (love the POC representation).
