Another score with the second book in the terrific Knockemout Series -- over 500 pages of adrenaline rush! Lucy Score never misses a trick winning my heart through her characters. So far, both books have held me hostage in the closely-knit smalltown of Knockemout, Virginia till the end. Good thing that I’m retired with no set schedule and can let the dust settle for another day and the bed left unmade!

Nash Morgan and Angelina 'Lina' Solalvita

I am deeply invested in these characters and the town of Knockemout, so I was ecstatic to get to Nash and Lina's story. And just to say, as soon as they interacted, I knew they were going to be an item, just not the how.

Nash is a good guy, brother, friend and grandson, although he has a bit of a feud going on with Knox. Then he was attacked and that affected him more than anyone knows.

It started out great but I got a bit bored with all the detective aspects. I think it could have been shorter by leaving some of it out and still be a great story.
