This was book 6 in the "Forever Wilde" series. This was the book I have been waiting to read since I started reading this series. Major Weston "Grandpa" and Liam "Doc" Wilde have been together for almost 50 years they met in the Army in the Vietnam war and became friends. Even while state side their friendship reminded strong when Doc had a problem he turned to Major. Doc had a wife Betsy and kids. I listened and read this book in one sitting. I've been trying to review this for DAYS.

I don't know what to say. Honestly I am probably one of the only people who didn't feel that crazy need to have their story. I feel like what I know about them and watching them with their family and knowing their how much they love each other was enough for me. I felt like their story wasn't going to be an easy read and really, I just didn't know if I wanted it.

Okay I have had books bring me to tears but very few have brought me to multiple, ugly tears. This one did it to me. Watching these two when they first meet in Vietnam to them struggling to stay alive and make it home.
