I read “Coach” – the first book in Perry’s Treasure State Wildcats Series and it received a five-star rating. But in a close-proximity, forbidden romance with a 12-year age gap, the author’s second release in the series was a big disappointment.

I’m stretching here to be kind and offer a few positives. I liked the cover for this book. I liked the unique spelling of the female lead's name. But both lead characters – Toren and Jennsyn -- were unappealing to me as a reader. Although described as ho ...more

As a football coach with the Treasure State Wildcats, Toren is always the ‘ear’ that the team turns to when they need advice, friendship, and someone who can listen. Toren Greely & Jennsyn Bell

I started reading this a while back and put it aside for a while because I wasn't feeling it. It surprised because I love Devney Perry so much. Once I picked it back up, I realized that it may have been a mood thing, because I breezed right through what I had left.

I liked Toren. I mainly loved how he was with his family, his aunt and his cousins. I also love a man who know what he wants when it comes to life in general and in his relationships.

Devney Perry is back with a brand new book in her addicting Treasure State Wildcats series and what a romance this was. I really liked book one Coach in this series but oh my heart. This beauty right here. This book and these characters right here stole my heart in so many moments.

Heat and sparks fly from the first moment Toren and Jennsyn lay eyes on each other. As soon Jennsyn realizes that Toren is a coach at her new school and he finds out that she is a new student they both try to step back and do the right thing, but the pull just might be too much for them to resist!

Blitz is the second book in the Treasure State Wildcats series. It is an age gap, forbidden, student/coach, small town romance and this author is amazing at giving us the best small town stories.
