I was expecting more "funny" to this story, but it wasn’t to be had. Still, some laughter and a dazzling, spirited story of almost-strangers who become roommates but have nothing in common – or do they?

As always, Emily Henry creates an emotional and well-rounded relationship between well-developed characters who are still dealing with broken hearts and heavy baggage carried over from their childhoods and former romantic entanglements. My second Emily Henry! I didn’t love Happy Place, so I’m glad I enjoyed this one.
I enjoyed this- a melancholy romcom. Tender sweet and at times very funny.

Great connection between MCs
I loved that it focused on their family and friend relationship too.

Daphne & Miles

I couldn't even imagine finding myself in a situation like this. Daphne moved to be with her fiancé only for him to later dump her for his best friend. She had a very short turnaround to pack her crap and move and he was such a jerk about it.

The best friend she was left for also dumped her boyfriend, Miles. Miles who spent years trying to be good enough for someone who didn't deserve it, but at least he wasn't homeless.

Miles and Daphne become roommates, then friends, then more.
