Honestly, I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this one. In the beginning, there is so much going on, it was hard to keep track. It did get better and I figured out who’s who.

I did enjoy the story itself, small town drama and A LOT of secrets, a few secrets I did not see coming. The MCs, Liz and Vince, were likeable enough, separately. Shelves: book-boyfriend, banter, quirky, suspense-mystery

So I rated this book 4.5 stars..lots to like here. Good writing. A new style for Crusie. Not her usual cozy books. This one has added intrigue and edge - likely comes from her co-author Bob Mayer.

Vince Cooper was a perfect H...hot, tough, smart, not overly talkative, warm-hearted. Liz Danger is special - quirky, sweet, but can be hard. She's battling a not so great reputation from her hijinks 15 years ago. And now, among other things, working on holding her ground against her detractors.
