What Members Thought

NO SPOILERS REVIEW
I had no idea what to expect when I decided to take a chance on this new-to-me-author. The book was getting lots of buzz – and most were rave reviews that pushed me into one-clicking. I’m glad I went for it. I would classify this book as an intensely high-stakes novel.

The story follows one black father, Ike and one white father, Buddy Lee as they grapple with the murders of their sons, a married couple.
Razorblade Tears is part action movie and part buddy cop tale.
I enjoyed the journey Ike and Buddy Lee both took regarding their sons’ sexuality.
I am not too proud to admit that I did cry at the end.
Things I didn’t like: the depictions of violence were too graphic for my liking. This book was ruthless.
