I liked this, I did, mostly. I realized when we got the five years later chapter though that this was not a romance and more an Urban Fantasy with romantic interests.

Anyway, I still enjoyed the story. The “world” was new and creative and the mystery/case really held my interest but there were a lot of things just off with it. At the beginning, I didn't like how Gideon treated Sam after they hooked up initially. I loved Sam from day one. He is awesome. He gets offered a new job and finds out that there are not so human beings out there. I loved the hellhounds! They are so needy and that just cracks me up to no end. The team is investigating the disappearance of pregnant couples. We do find out why they are taken and a secret is revealed. My only big issue is that we don't get a lot of page time with our MC's as a coup ...more

I really liked this book from start, it was funny, great characters, great world. BUT from name of book you would think, that it is about Demon. I thought it will be romance between someone and Demon, who "do it better". But there was almost no romance (and no demon who did anything better, maybe scowling...?) , relationship between mcs was very little part of book.
