After all the news about banned books, I am trying to make an effort to read more of those listed materials to make up my own mind.

When this series came out on Netflix in 2017, I got towed into the story like a fish on a hook. Here was a girl who outlined why she had committed .... What this story dredged up from high school memories that I had repressed in the name of sanity. It didn't go so far as being triggered, yet I can see why some people could be.

Can't really see why this is praised so much. Having had a friend who committed suicide, leaving no note, I had a hard time believing someone would not only leave an explanation, but would go to the lengths she did, taping her comments, drawing a map, etc. Not to mention it felt like the author dog-piled her woes upon her. I also felt that Hannah, our dead girl, blamed everyone for her suicide, which means there's no real discussion in the book about depression, or anxiety, or...well, anything l
