I felt rather indifferent about this story upon finishing -- I was compelled to make it to the end and see where the characters landed, but many parts of the book felt slow paced and oddly-fitting. The story toggled between the potentially otherworldly and reality, never fully embracing either side in totality. The ambiguity left me wanting more from the story and the characters. Overall, a good story and concept, but fell short in a few ways, from my personal perspective.

loved the book. The first half of the book I read at one sitting. Took longer to get to the end because I was not ready to leave the characters and the wilderness.
