What Members Thought
Butler’s Parable is highly regarded, so I am in the minority when I say it was just okay. It read like a YA novel and was quite flat. One note. Which is difficult in a dystopian novel full of rape, murder, and all sorts of other horrors. The religious aspect was less like a newly written religious theory and more like the bland affirmation posts you find in social media. Maybe book 2 will redeem the series?
