Interesting to read about segregation from a child's perspective, one living in Alabama in the
30s -40s. The discrimination toward people of color still shows and happens the same today everywhere, and that's why I sadly believe this book still is relevant.
The writing was maybe a little too difficult for me at some parts, which made me not follow all the time, but the book was okay from my view and had its moments. Will probably reread it in the future! ...more
