ok wow, that ending.😭 the writing was so beautiful, and the plot is so creative! the amount of twists there is left me in shocked. i liked most character but, i loved roman and iris sm, they were so perfect for each other. i need the next book ASAP!!

This book is so well written. The chemistry between Iris and Roman was MAGICAL. Why didn't I read this book before? I DEFINITELY LOVE IT. It had everything I ever wanted be it enemies to lovers, slow burn romance or fantasy/Romantasy. Iris and Roman are so young, cute, mature and undoubtedly my favorite. this book has genuinely been hyped up so much and i was so excited to read this passionate, sweeping high fantasy - boy was I let down. it was more of a historical war fiction than a romantasy, which I think is a pretty common review I've seen, and the enemies to lovers is nothing more than watered down rivals-to-lovers. they were good but I found myself wishing they had more banter and just vibes? They didn’t seem to have a lot of chemistry to me. The romance was sweet although it just felt, dare i say forced ( ? )
