Having a lot of feelings as I finish this book at 2am.
Magnolia parks is a comfort read, and so I said let me pick this up. I miss rich people and their problems!
This was nothing like magnolia honestly. Jessa’s writing style is distinctly her but it has notably matured in this book. She writes in a way that gives me words to put to complicated emotions. Finally got my hands on this after waiting what seemed like forever and I am always embarrassed with how fast I devoured it! It really lived up to the hype and I'm glad I took a chance on it (I was a sucker for the cover it is gorgeous!)

WOW! This broke my heart into a million pieces in the best way.
I am a sucker for a Southern book setting and this being a SC small town family drama was amazing to me! As someone born & raised in the South, this is a spot on description of an old money appearances matter kind of family.
This story had soooo many layers with the sibling drama, parenting fiascos, epic loves, & grief. I adored Georgia- her wit, her analysis, her IDGAF attitude!
Also Sam Penny is 100% on my top 5 book boyfriends list ...more

This book kept me hooked. I love a good family drama with tension and relationships mixed in.
high hopes for this one but i was not a fan. so so much potential but the writing was terrible. i had no desire to pick this one up to finish it. is the magnolia parks series any better?
i wish I could give it 6 stars. Truly, amazing.
