Emily Henry has managed to smuggle some emotional genius under the guise of a romance book.
Like yes, there’s romance. But every other character’s relationship with “truth” and the side characters? That’s where the real show was.

A big, fat 5 stars for Emily Henry’s new masterpiece, Great Big Beautiful Life ❤️
This book was maybe Emily’s best work yet. The way the story wove throughout and brought these characters lives to be intertwined was so raw and honest, the heart of all the characters pulling you in and leaving you hanging on their every word. When I finished this book, I just sat there for a while taking in everything that I had just heard.

buckle up- i have a lot of thoughts!
as a self proclaimed em hen super fan, i was pumped for this new release! butttt this just didn’t check all of the boxes for me.
i respect & love emily moving away from strictly romance into more of a literary fiction space. genre switches are always tricky to navigate and i found myself as a reader having to remind myself that this wasn’t a contemporary romance. that being said, i did like the romance between alice & hayden but it felt like the enemies becam ...more
