This was a cute read. It certainly wasn't anything groundbreaking (and it was a little predictable in places) but it was a light, fun mystery, and a good book to read on a plane. I read the first half in print form (while flying) and the second half in audio form (during my commute) and I found that I liked it better as an audiobook. Audiobook was well narrated to the shame of the poorly edited text. Repetitive and choppy. Too much time spent on random digressions and details and not enough tying up loose ends. Dull and one-dimensional portrait of Churchill.

There was so much potential here, but overall the book was just kind of boring. Plus once the pacing picked up, all kinds of !exciting! things kept happening and piling on top of each other. It was pretty unbelievable.
